New Orleans Parade Workshop
Design & make your own costume for a New Orleans style parade
As part of the Alma Street Fair on Sunday 23rd June there will be a New Orleans style parade complete with a live band & we want you to take part.
We are looking for people of all ages to get involved in making costumes & taking part, so if you would like to come & march and dance then please do get in touch.
Join us in making costumes for this fun event.
All materials will be provided, the workshop is free & open to all abilities and ages.

Weaving Worlds Family Day
Weaving Worlds is an art project bringing together children with multi-sensory impairment, their siblings & families: supported by the national charity Sense.
Working with artist Sam Haynes the exhibition is a result of we woven pieces created at Sense family days across the country.
This Family Day will be a chance to add your own work to the display. Weaving alongside artist Sam you will learn more about the creation of large scale public art pieces.
All materials are provided, the day is open to all ages and abilities.

A site specific audio experience guided by composers Gregg Fisher & Donato Wharton around the CHAIR installation

Workshop
An interactive session with artist & prop maker Dot Young & photographer Pavel Legonkov. Create new work collaboratively inspired by the concept of CHAIR. All materials will be provided & the session is open to all.

Saturday 22nd June
Artist talk
A presentation tracing the process of the conception & realisation of CHAIR & the larger research project Aurality of Objects of which it is a part. This artist led presentation will be followed by an opportunity for Q&A

Free Space Gallery again runs Art Street as part of the local & hugely popular Alma Street Fair.
Show casing over 15 artists working in a wide range of mediums with workshops throughout the day.
